Ingredients:
3 ripe bananas, mashed
⅔ cup granulated sugar
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional for extra warmth)
½ cup chopped walnuts (plus extra for topping)
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
Mix the Wet Ingredients:
In a large bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth. Add the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until everything is well combined.
Combine the Dry Ingredients:
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Add Walnuts:
Gently fold in the chopped walnuts, reserving a few for sprinkling on top if desired.
Bake:
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle extra walnuts on top if desired.
Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve:
Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
