Rich and Savory Swedish Meatball Noodle Bake


⏺ 1 lb egg noodles
⏺ 1 lb pre-cooked Swedish meatballs
⏺ 1 cup sour cream
⏺ 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
⏺ 1 cup beef broth
⏺ 1 onion, finely chopped
⏺ 2 cloves garlic, minced
⏺ 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
⏺ 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
⏺ 2 tbsp butter
⏺ Salt and pepper to taste
⏺ Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


1️⃣ Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2️⃣ Cook Noodles: Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
3️⃣ Sauté Onion and Garlic: In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic and sauté until translucent.
4️⃣ Cook Meatballs: Add the pre-cooked Swedish meatballs to the skillet and heat them through.
5️⃣ Make the Creamy Sauce: Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and beef broth to the skillet. Mix until well combined and the sauce is creamy.
6️⃣ Combine Noodles and Meatballs: Combine the meatball mixture with the cooked noodles and transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
7️⃣ Add Cheeses: Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the top of the dish.
8️⃣ Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and golden brown.
9️⃣ Garnish and Serve: Remove the dish from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
