Cheesesteak Tortellini in Rich Provolone Sauce
Ingredients:
– 1 package (12 oz) cheese tortellini
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 1 large onion, sliced
– 1 pound beef steak, cubed
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon pepper
– 1 cup beef broth
– 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
– 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
Directions:
1. Cook the Tortellini: Prepare tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. Sauté the Onion: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
3. Cook the Steak: Add cubed steak to the skillet with onions. Season with salt and pepper and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Add Broth and Worcestershire Sauce: Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 5 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
5. Melt Provolone Cheese: Reduce heat to low and add shredded provolone. Stir until cheese melts into a creamy sauce.
6. Combine and Serve: Add cooked tortellini to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Serve hot, garnished with extra provolone or fresh parsley if desired.
