Homemade meatloaf
Ingredients:
– 1 1/4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
– 1/4 cup milk
– 1 lb. ground beef
– 2 large eggs, beaten
– 1/2 cup ketchup
– 1/4 cup brown sugar
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 cup diced onions
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large bowl, soak the rolled oats in milk for 5 minutes.
3. Add ground beef, beaten eggs, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and diced onions to the bowl. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
4. Transfer the mixture into a loaf pan and shape into a loaf.
5. Bake for 1 hour or until the meatloaf is cooked through and a meat thermometer inserted into the center reads 160°F (71°C).
6. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
