Here’s how to make it:
Ingredients:
1 pound beef steak such as sirloin or flank, cut into bite-sized pieces
4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced thinly
1 medium onion, diced
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup beef broth
1 cup sour cream
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish, optional
Instructions:
Preparation: Start by cutting the steak into bite-sized pieces and seasoning with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Cooking: In the slow cooker, layer half of the sliced potatoes at the bottom, followed by half of the diced onion and minced garlic. Add the seasoned steak evenly over this layer and sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese on top. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients, pouring the beef broth over everything and spreading the sour cream and remaining cheese on top.
Final touches: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the potatoes are tender and the steak is cooked through. Once done, gently stir to combine and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
