Air Fried Apple Wedges with Caramel Whipped Cream Dipping Sauce
Ingredients:
For the Apple Wedges:
2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith work well), cut into wedges
1 tablespoon melted butter or coconut oil
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon granulated sugar or brown sugar
For the Caramel Whipped Cream Dipping Sauce:
1 cup heavy cream, chilled
2 tablespoons caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1 teaspoon powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the Apple Wedges: In a bowl, toss the apple wedges with melted butter, cinnamon, and sugar until evenly coated.
Air Fry the Apples: Place the apple wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the apples are tender and golden.
Make the Caramel Whipped Cream: While the apples are cooking, prepare the dipping sauce. In a mixing bowl, beat the chilled heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the caramel sauce until fully incorporated.
