The BEST Steak Marinade
Ingredients
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for a smoky flavor)
Fresh herbs, like rosemary or thyme sprigs (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, honey, black pepper, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Add fresh herbs if desired.
Marinate the Steak: Place steak in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to 2 hours. For best flavor, marinate for 4-8 hours.
Cook the Steak: Remove steak from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Discard the marinade. Grill, broil, or pan-sear the steak over medium-high heat to your desired level of doneness.
Rest and Serve: Allow the steak to rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
