luscious Blackberry Cobbler, fresh out of the oven


3 cups fresh blackberries
1 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup orange juice
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
Optional: Ice cream or whipped cream for serving
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, mix blackberries, sugar, and orange juice. Pour into a 9×9 inch baking dish.
In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and melted butter until just mixed.
Spoon the batter over the blackberry mixture, spreading to cover.
Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted into the crust comes out clean.
Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
