Homemade Honey Baked Ham

– 1 whole bone-in ham (about 8-10 pounds)
– 1 cup brown sugar
– 1/2 cup honey
– 1/2 cup water
– 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1 teaspoon ground cloves
– 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
2. Place ham in a roasting pan and score the surface with shallow cuts in a diamond pattern.
3. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, honey, water, Dijon mustard, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
4. Brush half of the glaze over the ham, gently working it into the scored lines.
5. Bake the ham for 1.5 hours, basting every 30 minutes with the remaining glaze, until a dark caramelized crust forms.
6. Let the ham rest for 10 minutes before slicing to serve.
