Easy Ground Beef Tostadas Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef 🍖
1 packet taco seasoning 🌮
1/2 cup water 💧
8 tostada shells 🌽
1 cup refried beans (optional) 🫘
1 cup shredded lettuce 🥬
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 🧀
1/2 cup diced tomatoes 🍅
1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional) 🫒
1/4 cup sour cream (optional) 🍦
Salsa (optional) 🌶
Jalapeños, sliced (optional) 🌶
Instructions:
1️⃣ Cook the Ground Beef:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
Drain any excess fat from the beef and return it to the skillet.
2️⃣ Season the Beef:
Add the taco seasoning and 1/2 cup of water to the beef. Stir to combine, then let it simmer for 5 minutes until the beef is fully cooked and the mixture thickens. Remove from heat.
3️⃣ Prepare the Tostada Shells:
While the beef is cooking, heat the tostada shells according to package instructions, either in the oven or on a skillet, until crispy.
4️⃣ Assemble the Tostadas:
Spread a thin layer of refried beans (if using) on each tostada shell.
Spoon a generous amount of the seasoned ground beef mixture on top of the beans.
Layer with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese.
5️⃣ Add Toppings:
Top with black olives, sour cream, salsa, and jalapeños, if desired.
