CAJUN SHRIMP AND STEAK ALFREDO PASTA

📝 INGREDIENTS:

8 oz fettuccine pasta
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into strips
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

🔔 INSTRUCTIONS:

STEP 1: COOK THE PASTA
– Boil Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a little pasta water.

STEP 2: SEASON AND COOK THE STEAK
– Season Steak: In a bowl, toss the steak strips with Cajun seasoning, ensuring they are evenly coated.
– Sear Steak: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak and cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

STEP 3: COOK THE SHRIMP
– Season Shrimp: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Toss the shrimp with Cajun seasoning.
– Sauté Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

STEP 4: MAKE THE ALFREDO SAUCE
– Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
– Add Cream: Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.
– Stir in Cheese: Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

STEP 5: COMBINE AND SERVE
– Mix Pasta: Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce, tossing to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency.
– Add Steak and Shrimp: Gently fold in the cooked steak and shrimp until well combined.
– Garnish and Serve: Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
