Ultimate Bacon Double Cheeseburger
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
8 slices cheddar or American cheese
8 slices bacon, cooked until crispy
4 burger buns
Toppings: lettuce, sliced tomatoes, pickles, red onions
Condiments: ketchup, mayo, mustard
Instructions:
Form the Patties: Divide ground beef into 8 equal portions and shape into thin patties. Season each patty with salt and black pepper.
Cook the Patties: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook patties for 2-3 minutes per side, adding a slice of cheese on each patty after flipping. Allow cheese to melt as patties finish cooking.
Assemble the Burger: On the bottom bun, layer a cheeseburger patty, followed by two slices of bacon. Add a second cheeseburger patty with another two slices of bacon.
Add Toppings and Serve: Top with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions. Spread desired condiments on the top bun and place it on the stack. Secure with a skewer if needed.
Notes:
Toast the buns for extra crunch, or add a slice of pepper jack cheese for some heat!
