Cheesy Bacon Spinach Dip
Ingredients:
10 oz fresh spinach (or 1 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained)
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled (about 6-8 slices)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Spinach:
If using fresh spinach, wash and chop it. Sauté it in a skillet over medium heat until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Drain any excess moisture.
If using frozen spinach, make sure it’s thoroughly thawed and drained of excess water.
2. Mix the Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth.
Add the mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until everything is well combined.
3. Add Spinach:
Fold in the sautéed or thawed spinach until evenly distributed throughout the dip.
4. Bake:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Transfer the dip mixture to a baking dish and spread it out evenly.
Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly, and the top is lightly golden.
5. Serve:
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
Serve warm with tortilla chips, pita chips, crackers, or fresh vegetable sticks.
