Garlic Butter Steak Bites and Mash
Ingredients:
For the Steak Bites:
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Mashed Potatoes:
2 lbs potatoes, peeled and diced
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup unsalted butter
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
1️⃣ Prepare the Mashed Potatoes: Boil diced potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and mash with butter and milk. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
2️⃣ Cook the Steak Bites: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak bites with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until browned.
3️⃣ Add Garlic Butter: Reduce heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for another minute, stirring to coat the steak bites in the garlic butter.
4️⃣ Serve: Plate the mashed potatoes and top with the garlic butter steak bites. Garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes:
For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the steak while cooking.
Swap out regular potatoes for sweet potatoes for a different twist.
