BBQ Chicken Drumsticks
Ingredients:
8 chicken drumsticks
1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. This will help the chicken cook evenly and get crispy.
Prepare the Chicken:
In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken drumsticks to the bowl and toss them until they are well coated with the seasoning mixture.
Bake the Chicken:
Arrange the drumsticks on the wire rack, making sure they are not touching each other. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
Add the BBQ Sauce:
After 25 minutes, remove the drumsticks from the oven. Brush them generously with BBQ sauce, coating all sides. Return them to the oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the drumsticks are nicely caramelized.
Serve:
Once the drumsticks are done, remove them from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
