Pan-Seared Steak in Butter Sauce
Treat yourself to a delicious, juicy steak topped with a rich butter sauce. Itβs simple to make and perfect for a special dinner at home.
Ingredients:π
1 lb steak (your choice, like ribeye or sirloin)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic, crushed
Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme), optional
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:π
1. Prepare the Steak: Take the steak out of the fridge about 30 minutes before cooking so it warms up to room temperature. Pat it dry with paper towels.
2. Season: Sprinkle salt and pepper generously on both sides of the steak.
3. Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it’s hot but not smoking.
4. Cook the Steak: Place the steak in the pan and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until it develops a nice brown crust. Flip the steak and let it cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare. Adjust the time if you prefer it more done.
5. Add Butter and Garlic: When the steak is nearly done, add the butter, crushed garlic, and herbs (if using) to the pan. Baste the steak with the melted butter for extra flavor for about 1-2 minutes.
6. Rest the Steak: Once the steak is cooked to your liking, remove it from the pan and let it rest on a cutting board for about 5 minutes.
7. Serve: Slice the steak against the grain and drizzle any leftover butter sauce from the pan over the top. Enjoy your tender, flavorful steak!ππ
