Moroccan Chicken Tagine with Sweet Potatoes and Raisins (slow cooker)

INGREDIENTS

2 pounds chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 cup raisins
2 sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into bite-sized pieces
2 red peppers, cut into large pieces
2 onions, minced
1-16 ounces can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp butter
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp turmeric

INSTRUCTIONS

Add all ingredients to a slow cooker (crock pot). Stir well.
Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours. Serve.
