Steak and Cheese Grilled Sandwich Recipe
Craving something indulgent? Try this Steak and Cheese Grilled Sandwich! A crispy grilled sandwich filled with juicy steak and melty cheese – simple, yet mouthwatering!
Ingredients:
1 lb flank steak (or any cut of your choice) 🥩
4 slices of your favorite bread 🍞 (sourdough or white bread works great)
4 slices of cheddar cheese 🧀
2 tbsp butter 🧈
Salt and pepper, to taste 🧂
Optional: A few scrambled eggs for extra flavor 🍳
Optional: Garlic powder or your favorite seasoning for added taste 🌿
Instructions:
Prepare the steak: Season the steak with salt and pepper (and any other seasonings you like). Grill or pan-sear the steak to your preferred doneness (about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare). Once done, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing thinly.
Grill the bread: While the steak rests, heat a skillet over medium heat. Butter one side of each slice of bread and place them in the pan, buttered side down. Grill until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Assemble the sandwich: On one slice of grilled bread, layer the sliced steak. Add the cheddar cheese on top. If you like, add scrambled eggs for extra creaminess and richness.
Melt the cheese: Place the sandwich back in the pan (with the unbuttered side facing down) and grill until the cheese has melted and the bread is crispy. About 2-3 more minutes.
Serve: Slice the sandwich in half and serve hot with your favorite sauce or pickles on the side.
Enjoy your cheesy, steak-filled sandwich!
