Chow Mein au poulet
Ingredients :
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
2 cups chow mein noodles, cooked according to package instructions
1 poivre de cloche, julienned
1 medium carrot Julienne
1/2 cup cabbage, grated
1 sliced onion
2 minced garlic cloves
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon of sesame oil
1 teaspoon of sugar
1/2 cup chicken broth
Fresh green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Itinéraires :
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over a hot heat.
Add the chicken strips and simmer until browned and cooked, about 5-6 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pan and put aside.
In the same skillet, add a little more oil if necessary, and sauté the garlic and onions until they are done.
Add the pepper, carrots and cabbage to the skillet. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until just tender but still crispy.
Return the chicken in the frying pan. Add the cooked chow mein noodles.
In a small bowl, whip together soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar and chicken broth. Pour this mixture over the noodles and vegetables in the pan.
Toss it all together and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, ensuring the sauce coats all the ingredients evenly.
Serving the chow mein topped with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
