Layered Taco Bake
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
1/2 cup water
6 large flour tortillas
1 can (16 ounces) refried beans
2 cups salsa
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
Sour cream (for serving)
Fresh tomatoes, diced (for garnish)
Lettuce, shredded (for garnish)
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain and return to the skillet. Add taco seasoning and water, and simmer until the water is evaporated.
In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, place two tortillas. Spread half of the refried beans over the tortillas, half of the meat, and then 1 cup of salsa. Sprinkle with 1/3 of the cheese.
Repeat the layers, ending with a layer of tortillas and the remaining cheese.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve with sour cream, diced tomatoes, and shredded lettuce.
