Best Homemade Lasagna
Ingredients:
9 lasagna noodles
1 pound ground beef
1 pound Italian sausage
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups ricotta cheese
1 egg
3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 cups marinara sauce
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef, Italian sausage, onion, and garlic until cooked through. Drain excess fat.
In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
In a baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce, then place three lasagna noodles over the sauce.
Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by half of the meat mixture and one-third of the mozzarella.
Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles and remaining marinara sauce on top.
Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
