Mini Tater Tot Cheeseburgers

Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
Sliced cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
Hamburger dill pickle slices (optional)
Ketchup (optional)
Mustard (optional)
For Serving (Optional):

Ketchup
Mustard
Mayo
Pickles
Chopped onions
Instructions:

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.

Season the Beef: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef (or turkey) with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well to distribute the seasonings evenly.

Forming the Mini Burgers: Shape the seasoned ground beef mixture into small, bite-sized patties.

Bake the Tater Tots: While you form the burger patties, bake the frozen tater tots according to the package instructions on a separate baking sheet. This will take approximately 15-20 minutes.

Cooking the Burgers: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add a drizzle of cooking oil if needed. Cook the burger patties for 2-3 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through to your desired doneness.

Tater Tot Bottoms: Once the tater tots are done baking, take them out of the oven and arrange them on the greased baking sheet or parchment paper-lined baking sheet.

Cheese Time! Top each tater tot with a slice of cheddar cheese (or your preferred cheese).

Burger on Top: Carefully place a cooked burger patty on top of the cheese-topped tater tot, creating a mini cheeseburger.

Optional Broil (for extra melty cheese): If you prefer extra melty cheese, you can place the baking sheet with the assembled mini cheeseburgers under the broiler for a minute or two, just until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep a close eye on them under the broiler so the cheese doesn’t burn.

Assemble and Enjoy: While the cheese is melting (if broiling), arrange the hamburger dill pickle slices (optional) on a platter. Top each pickle slice with a mini cheeseburger.

Serving Up Fun: Serve your Mini Tater Tot Cheeseburgers warm with ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickles, and chopped onions (optional) for dipping and adding your favorite burger toppings.
