Crispy Fried Wing Flats Drizzled With Honey Lemon Pepper
INGREDIENTS:
8-10 Chicken wings, split into drums and flats if desired
2 cups Vegetable oil, for frying
Seasoning/Breading:
2 cups All-purpose flour
2 tbsp Seasoning salt
2 tsp Garlic powder
2 tsp Onion powder
1 tsp Paprika
1 tbsp Black pepper
Lemon Pepper Honey:
1/2 cup Honey
2 tbsp Lemon pepper seasoning
1 tbsp Fresh lemon juice
INSTRUCTIONS:
Heat oil in a cast iron skillet over medium heat.
Season chicken wings liberally with all seasonings, ensuring even coating.
Toss wings in flour mixture for an even coat. Gently place wings in hot oil, careful not to overcrowd.
While wings fry, mix honey, lemon pepper, and fresh lemon juice in a saucepan. Bring to a light boil and remove from heat.
Fry wings for 7 minutes on each side, then remove and drain on a rack or paper towels.
Let wings sit for 5 minutes to let the breading settle.
Drizzle warm lemon pepper honey over the crispy chicken.
