Steak and Ale Pie

Description: Traditional British pub favorite — beef steak slow-cooked in ale gravy and baked under flaky puff pastry.

Ingredients:
• 500g beef chuck, diced
• 1 onion, chopped
• 1 carrot, diced
• 1 cup dark ale
• 1 tbsp flour
• 1 cup beef stock
• Puff pastry sheet
• 1 egg (for brushing)

Instructions:
1. Brown beef, add onion and carrot.
2. Sprinkle flour, then pour in ale and stock; simmer until thick.
3. Transfer to pie dish, cover with pastry, brush with egg.
4. Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 25–30 mins.
