Gourmet Meatballs with Mushroom Sauce

INGREDIENTS:
Gourmet Meatballs in a Rich Mushroom Sauce

– 1 lb ground beef or a mix of meats
– 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
– 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 1 large egg
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tsp Italian seasoning
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– 2 tbsp olive oil
– 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
– 1 cup beef broth
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
– Fresh parsley, for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, egg, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well and shape the mixture into meatballs.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the meatballs and brown them on all sides. Once browned, remove the meatballs and set them aside.
3. In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are golden brown.
4. After the mushrooms are cooked, pour in the beef broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir everything together until well combined.
5. Return the browned meatballs to the skillet and let them simmer in the sauce for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are fully cooked through.
6. Before serving, garnish the dish with fresh parsley for an added burst of flavor and color. Enjoy!
